So you like to hunt, do you?

Surrounded on three sides by water and the 4th by a ridge top, this property holds game.  Year after year it has produced trophy white tail deer and wild turkeys.  An occasional black bear has been harvested as well.

Strategically placed throughout the property are several very productive hunting stands, two of which are fully enclosed, heated and accessible by vehicle.  Other stands are designed specifically for drives or for archery.

An abundance of red, gray and fox squirrels keeps the younger hunter busy.  In addition to the squirrels, other small game includes ruffed grouse& rabbits.  Spend enough time in the woods and you’ll spot the resident fishers & catch a fleeting glimpse of a coyote.  It’s not unusual to run across a fox, porcupine, or a ground hog either.

When you get the urge to wet a line...

2 miles of the Redbank is all yours.  Stocked with trout several times annually, it's a great stream to hone your fly fishing skills.  Small mouth bass and a few other species of fish inhabit the creek as well.  If you want a really nice day, put your canoe in the water up in Brookville, and enjoy a 3 hour float back to the camp.

The ponds back in the preserve are teeming with bluegills and largemouth bass.  Cast you spinner bait, popper, rubber worm or jig and get ready for the action.

Located within a 15 mile radius of the camp are no less that a dozen stocked and native trout streams, the 165 acre Kyle Lake (which the PA Fish & Boat Commission manages under Big Bass Program regulations), and the Clarion river.
